Five Stills for PLANET ONE

In my initial post a year back on Planet One, an upcoming CG animated film from Spain-based Illion Animation Studios, I mentioned I was really impress with stunning visual of the promo pics at the Ilion official site. It turns out that the Ilion official site has been updated with five new stills and my impression has remain the same, if not better. While its the studios first theatrical film, I see allot of potential when considering its hefty $50 million budget and having Academy-Award nominated writer Joe Stillman (Shrek, Sherk 2) on board.
PLANET ONE is a funny reverse alien invasion story centered on the little green people with antennas who inhabit Planet One, and who live in fear of being invaded by beings from another planet.
When Astronaut CAPTAIN CHARLES “CHUCK” BAKER lands his spaceship, thinking that the no-one lives there, the inhabitants’ paranoia is unleashed and the real adventure begins. LEM, a young resident on Planet One, who is fascinated by space the world outside, will help CHUCK try to escape from the authorities, recover his spaceship and return home.
The film is currently in production and slated for release in the first quarter of 2008.
