Alas, it’s not the lengthy promo reel that screened at AFM and there’s nary a monster to be seen but the first public promo for Lordi’s Dark Floors has been released by production company Solar Films and it’s a quality, atmospheric piece of work.  Want to peek for yourself?  It’s available now int he Twitch video player.

Concerned for her autistic daughter’s health, the father sees a removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator break-down prevents a smooth exit and renders them trapped with others. Yet the incident is only the beginning of a descent into nightmare. As the doors open the hospital appears mysteriously deserted. When mutilated bodies are found, creatures from a dark world start a frightening attack. It soon becomes clear that the survival of the group may rest solely on the little girl.

This looks better and better. I thought this film would be some sort of cheese fest but it looks like they went all out to do a proper serious horror film. Good times. Now lets hope it’s good.

That hospital is giving me a Silent Hill vibe.

Which is a good thing.  That teaser was fantastic!

Guy in the poster looks like a Predator.

I will shamelessly admit to you that I love Lordi.  There’s only room for one metal band in monster costumes and Gwar’s time at the top is over.  Lordi seems to put more work into their stage get-up and the music is a lot better.

    Oh yeah.

    The trailer looks sweet, too.

    Trailer looks very generic.
