First Stills From The US Remake of Thai Horror Hit SHUTTER

We are big fans of Thai horror hit Shutter around these parts - not to mention the directors’ follow up film Alone - and have been keeping tabs on the upcoming US remake for a good while. This one is pretty prime remake territory - smart and well made while not particularly reliant on cultural specifics - and if handled right the spirit-photography based ghost story should be just as effective translated to the US as it was in Thailand. The first two stills have just been released and while we can’t pass judgment until we get to see these in motion but they’ve absolutely nailed the look. Very nice.
