How’s this for a brilliant piece of stunt casting?  Iconic horror actor Gunnar Hansen - that’d be Leatherface from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - returns home to his native Iceland to take part in an upcoming horror comedy titled - wait for it - The Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre.  Just the title makes me laugh and it’s a film that we’ve been following for a good long time, sucked farther and farther in by the limited synopsis and the stack of storyboards released so far.  And now the producers have been kind enough to give us the very first look at the very first still from the film.  Very nice.

An epic tale about a group of whale watchers, whose ship breaks down and they get picked up by a whale fisher vessel. The Fishbillies on the vessel have just gone bust, and everything goes out of control.

It’s a cross between the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Blairwitch Project, combined with the dark and bloody humor of Evil Dead.

not sure what to expect here, but two things are already good about this flick: the movieposter and the use of the word “Fishbillies”
