Twitch - in association with GOMORRAHY.com - is now providing downloadable English-subtitled versions of the second and third trailers ("video 2” and “video 3") for Elio Quiroga’s La hora fría that are on the official website for the movie.

The screenplay for La hora fría was written by Quiroga. The movie stars Silke as María, Pepo Oliva as Judas, Omar Muñoz as Jesús, Jorge Casalduero as Pedro, Julio Perillán as Pablo, Carola Manzanares as Magda (a.k.a. Magdalena), Nadia de Santiago as Ana, Sergio Villanueva as Mateo, and Pablo Scola as Lucas.

Here’s a synopsis for La hora fría from the official website for the movie: “A group of eight people live isolated in crumbling installations. They cannot abandon the complex and they live in a constant state of vigilance. The food supplies are running out and they urgently need medicines and ammunitions, but in order to find them they must abandon the secure area. What lurks outside the small area they inhabit, however, is so menacing that they dare not even speak of it.”

Here’s a synopsis for La hora fría from the website of Sitges - International Film Festival of Catalonia: “Following the Big War, chemical weapons have wreaked havoc among the human race. Men have been turned into dangerous zombies. A small community of people, among which there are two small children, tries to survive this hostile situation by holing up in an old run-down house, making sure the Strangers (which is their name for the chemical warfare victims) can’t invade their shelter. Although that’s not their only problem. Apart from the Strangers, also hanging over them is the threat of the Invisibles: evil specters that dwell in the old house and whose appearance is associated with a marked drop in temperature. It is the Cold Hour.”

According to the Variety article “Lightning strikes on ‘Cold’ rights” (November 3rd), “L.A.-based Lightning Entertainment [link added] has picked up international rights to ‘La hora fria’”.
