Kidnap

Though he’ll never say so publicly, I’m sure Dolph Lundgren has to be hoping that his part in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables will save him from the straight-to-video hell that he has lived in for the past decade or so. But before we find out if that happens Lundgren has one more DTV opus to share with the world, the self-directed Command Performance. It’s Die Hard at a rock concert, basically, with Lundgren playing a biker turned rock band drummer whose band goes to Moscow for a gig only to be caught up in a terrorist attack on a politician in the audience. High art it aint.
We ran the first teaser for this a while back and now the full sales promo has been unleashed upon the world and you can find both videos below the break.

Hmmm. I wish the band was better. What a boring song. They should’ve got these guys. http://yagathai.livejournal.com/886617.html.
With a premise like this, this should be far more bug fuck crazy.

Yeah the song sucks but the trailer gives me hope for a rollicking good times. I love it how the trailer makes it look like Dolph is completely oblivious to the madness around him and keeps on pounding those drums.

this looks like a rockin, violent good time of a movie. Got to be better than Diamond Dogs…
nikthewerelion 01/13/2009 @ 9:00am
yeah diamond dogz sucked but cuz it was dolph i watched it. i will not even bother with segal movies anymore excpet for the newest one ruslan, which i saw the trailer to on this site, loooks decent but stil… this role for dolph is interesting to me probly because i play drums, kinda makes me wonder if dolph actually played them or not, although my guess would be no.

There is a behind the scenes video in the production diary at the official site where he is really playing the drums. I seem to recall him saying something about playing awhile back.
Shepka 01/13/2009 @ 11:20am
Yeah he does play the drums but he trained with the band (D2) for two weeks before filming. He owns drums at his home and often plays them at wrap parties for the cast and crew.
