Dominique Pinon and Dave McKean In The Same Place? My Brain Just Melted.

Any film with the good sense to open their trailer with a close up of Dominique Pinon is okay by me. And when said film is also clever enough to recruit Dave McKean to put together their poster art? Well, golly, I’m just going to have to take a closer look, now aren’t I?
The film in question is Le Luna En Botella by single-named Spanish writer-director Grojo. English language info is proving hard to come by but it is one of the final films to be produced by Spain’s Sogecine before they shut down film production for good and it looks like such a dazzling visual confection - think the inclusion of Pinon in the cast is a nod to Jean-Pierre Jeunet? Could be - that I really hope someone over there gives the Sogecine folk a good smack and makes the rethink their decision. Anyway, the picture looks to be a fantasy tinged romantic comedy with some nice carnival over tones ... just go check it out ...
