Dennis Law’s FATAL MOVE Rated Cat III

All of the promotional material for Dennis Law’s latest martial arts actioner Fatal Move has promised that the film would deliver an exceptionally violent take on the genre and it certainly looks as though he’s been telling the truth.  The film has just been rated Cat III, the Hong Kong rating roughly equivalent to an NC-17, for “strong violence and thematic material of triad”.  Now, the triad stuff can be enough to get the Cat III rating all on its own - it’s happened to some recent Johnnie To films that used triad hand signs - but listing the violence first would seem to indicate that was the primary issue.  So ... good news if you like to see people hitting each other hard, bad news if you like Bambi.

You’ll find the trailer and making of videos in the Twitch Player below the break.
