   I just started reading the manga a few days ago and it’s absolutely badass.  This movie has pretty high potential to be great.

   Just start reading the manga as well and agree it’s badass.

   Couldn’t help thinking it probably won’t transition well to film though unless they get a really ace director to do it.

   Will be at least cool to see how Ryuk looks.

   The manga is definitely kick-ass good but I don’t think it will transit well into a movie. it needs to have more action than dialogue and thoughts.

    i know how to see the newest trailor on the official site.
    first, u click on the deathnote on the left bottom.
    then, there’s a computer at very right, so click on it.
    then, click the remote controler, click the red botton click the middle part of the remote controler, and u can see the new one.

    i agree about the bit where someone said after around chapter 60 it gets bad. i love L! but… he looks so weird in the movie… hm. ryuk looks so fake. and he’s suppose to laugh like “hyuk hyuk” right???

    I really want to see it.
    When will it come out in America…or at least have english subs.

    I am addicted to the Manga and I hope the movie is really good. I’m afraid of what Ryuk is going to look like.

    This movie looks absolutely awesome!!!  I disagree about it getting bad after chapter 60 though.  I believe that’s about where Light loses his memories.  He gets them back, so it’ll be freakin awesome after that.

    man, this manga made me really think hard and gone into the death note’s world. haha i kept on trying to guess what will happen next, but my guess is always wrong. real smart people.

    The anime will be airing on Nippon Television on 10/03/06. The 2nd movie will be in theaters on 11/03/06.

    death note is a flippin amazing manga, its only been about 2 weeks and im already on book 6 im so additced to it, i also got to see the first half of the movie, i loved it!!! cant wait for part 2.  i really hope they dont remake it with american actors i want them just to import it over here.

    i’ve just began the death note series and it is totally amazing, death with a hint of genius, the illustrations are amazing!! but i really should watch the movie.. wish i could.. dont know where to get it.. but i’ve seen the preview and RYUK looks awesome.. just like how Takeshi Obata has drawn it!! i must see the movie

    I think they could have picked someone better to play Misa in the movie. She doesn’t even have blonde hair T,T I think they should have fit her description from the manga.

    I love the mangas :D

    And yeeah, L is hot in the movie!
