Now, I’ll admit it seems like a strange basis for an animated film but Dear Anne is an upcoming CG animated film based on The Diary of Anne Frank. A holocaust themed animation? Apparently so ... it’s coming out of Italy and the animation work is frankly stunning, easily on par with Square Enix’s photorealistic work. Check it out.

Actually there was already a Japanese animated feature of this that came out in the 80s. It was quite a feat - the background designs for the Amsterdam scenes were so detailed and accurate you almost felt like you were there. They even included the tower blocks built in the 60s.

STUNNING!! I thought She was an actress!! All the links are now working. The flash old style website magazine is amazing too… I checked… the movie is not based on the diary smile Much better!! I suppose it will be an interesting story… It’s intriguing to see what they will do with the 1940 years… Finally something new!
