Eagle vs. Shark
Title says it all really. Stellar cast. Mamet Regulars. Mixed martial arts. Way of the Samurai ethos. Regardless of Mr. Mamet’s recent and quite public (in the Village Voice) change of political outlook, I am so looking forward to this one come April.

Huge Mamet fan here, and I have to admit the first trailer didn’t grab me at all. But this second trailer, is much, much better!
Definitely looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

His political rant turned me off a LOT. I don’t know if I can look at his work the same way, but this looks pretty decent.

didn’t know about his stupid opinions but always admired his movies or scripts, ideas. am I the only one that found SPARTAN to be an “almost” classic movie ?

Love. Love. Spartan. A movie that gets better and better with each viewing. Military/SpyGame as a con. Hell yes!
Also, it’s aggressive lack of exposition is something I cherish.

Spartan is a lean, great movie. Works on many levels. The first trailer for RedBelt was cut in a way to turn me off. But this one makes me interested. Politics, spirit, attitude. I would give this a chance now.

Definitely looks more promising than the first trailer, but as an MMA fan I’m expecting to be bothered by this movie.
At least it looks better than that Never Back Down movie.
