The Orphanage
I won’t pretend to have ever been the biggest fan of Chicago born comic Bernie Mac but I liked him in everything I ever saw him in and certainly can’t say I saw this coming. After a brief bout with pneumonia Bernie Mac passed away in a Chicago hospital earlier today. The comedian also suffered from a chronic tissue inflamation condition but early reports are that the tissue condition was not related to this illness. He was only fifty.

He had his talents and his own unique presence. Hollywood has lost some important people this year, and though this doesn’t upset me the way Heath Ledger’s death or John Phillip Law’s, I feel sad about this. 50 is too young.

Although I haven’t been a fan of his recent work, it’s still a damn shame that he’s gone. R.I.P.

Pneumonia at 50? That guy lacked vitamins.

Damn shame. While I won’t say I’ve been thrilled with the number of times my roommate plays Mr. 3000 and I will keep quiet about this for now so he doesn’t dress all in black, light candles, and watch it 5 times tonight with tears in his eyes, I will say that his tv show made me laugh, a lot. Damn.

His performance in Bad Santa was great, especially the part where he was sucking on an orange, but we all got to go sometime wheter we’re funny or not.

He owned the Original Kings of Comedy, easily.

Damn, didn’t even think treated adults could die of pneumonia these days.

This really sucks. I used to watch his show with my mom and little brother every week.
