COWBOYS FOR CHRIST: Not Dead Yet.

A few days back we brought word that Robin Hardy’s Wicker Man sequel Cowboys For Christ had been shut down for lack of funding pretty much literally on the eve of beginning principal photography. No word on what exactly happened or why but I’ve just heard from people connected to the film who assure me that this is a temporary move and that the project is by no means being abandoned. So breathe easy, Wicker Man fans, it aint dead yet ...

No, Hardy’s was the real Wicker Man and he’s only done one other film since then so his return to make a sequel - starring Christopher Lee, no less - was a big deal ...

I’m really hoping this comes to fruition, as a big fan of the original film (which has aged remarkably well by the way) I’m curious what the same themes and ideas look like thru Hardy’s eyes and cinematic style so many years later.
