Actually, this looks like a port of the R2JPN edition which DOES NOT contain remastered video, only 5.1 remixed audio. Then again, the R1 ‘remastering’ is probably just cleaning up the errors (rainbowing) they had with the old R1 release, which I believe were not present on R2JPN discs.. I could be wrong though.
This set does look very tasty however and if the price is right I may go for it even though I own the old R1 LE box already.

well, the specifications say remastered which is associated with the 5.1 sound and vice versa… someone needs to look into this, preferably someone who speaks korean… thanks.

Wow… the look of this box set made me want to soil myself with happiness.

Remastered Audio only, I’m afraid.

Not up for preorder yet.

it’s still two weeks away so most of the Korean sites don’t have it up for preorder yet.

Up for preorder at dvdfromkorea.com.
Let’s just say that the price wasn’t quite what I expected :( Damn..
x 08/04/2005 @ 5:43pm
what range did you expect? It’s pretty much in line with major boxset releases. Hell, a little cheaper, even (most range from 150 to 180k Won). Since it has everything in it, even the Extra Sessions..price went up a bit.
Beware though, that most Korean Animation boxsets enter the 할인 (Discount) section pretty fast. I bought a couple of those 150k last year for a third of the original price. But it might not happen for this, since it’s a very special edition.

Well, the previous boxset, which is OoP now, was going for half the price of this so naturally I hoped something matching its price.
Comparing this to the soon-to-be-released batch of R1 remasters, this is probably a fairly good deal price wise. Just too bad that the LE is “preorder only” and the first new R1 disc is a month a way, so there is no time to see if the new R1 release actually has better image quality than this.

Wow, I hope to hell theres’ gonna be a US version of the box set.
