CHOCOLATE Coming To DVD!

But not here any time soon.  There are rumblings of a possible problem with the announced US deal for Prachya Pinkaew’s new martial arts flick Chocolate but do not despair!  It’s hitting DVD in Thailand in just a few days.  No subtitles, as is the norm with Thai discs now, but this may be one where you’re better off not knowing what they’re really saying.  That way you can amuse yourself by making up your own dialog.  Check the trailer after the break.

    The Weinsteins bought the distribution rights, so you can bet there’s some problem there.

    I don’t really care about owning a special collector’s limited platinum edition anyway, so this will do me fine.

    This just played theatrically in HK so there should be a dvd coming from there with subs within a few months.
