Check Out the UK Phantasm Box (Er … Ball) Set!

I’m just sorting through some old email here at Twitch HQ and I just came across a little something Dullboy sent in a couple days ago ...
Now, as far as I know this release is going to be UK only because the different films are tied up in rights hassles in North America, but Anchor Bay has got a major treat in store for fans of the Phantasm films. See the ball? Yeah, that’s the container for the complete set of films. Check out a larger pic here, and a shot of the ball opened up here. I think this is pretty much a required purchase if you’re a fan.

Keep in mind, they say these are prototypes, and the final versions will have a chrome-looking finish. Plus, it will come encased in a box that they describe as “like an Easter egg carton”.

I’ve been following the process over at Anchorbay.co.uk and it’s shaping up to be one hell of a set. Tons of new material plus all the films in new widescreen transfers.
I love these flicks by the by.
