Man, this looks very cool and just begs you to ask why American film makers are so effects obsessed when you can be so much more effective without them ... Storm is a new supernatural thriller out of Sweden and an English subtitled trailer has just turned up over on the Trust Film website. Here’s the official synopsis:

“DD is young. Cool. Knows where it’s at. Or. thought he did. He is completely unaware that a struggle between good and evil has begun in which he himself is the arena. To get through it in one piece and alive DD must solve a riddle. A riddle whose solution will either destroy him or give him a new life.”

Believe me, that doesn’t do the trailer justice ... turn the lights down and the volume up ...

Wow. That looks awesome! The cinematography is spectacular. Love that eerie lighting scheme. The end reminds me too much of a certain pop-tart’s music video (unfortunately, I cannot erase such things from my mind), but it’s a pretty nifty money shot, nonetheless.

One of the few good reasons to attend the Filmfestival in Stockholm.

Saw this a few days ago and was very disapointed. Some ideas very nice but the whole film turned out to be a mess. There were some cool scenes that reminded me of Silent Hill, the video game, and some of the tention in the film was great. But the overall story and effects was a big disapointment.
