Love Conquers All
Good news everyone! 24fps dug up news the other days that Prachya Pinkaew’s [Ong Bak/Tom Yum Goong] much anticipated martial arts action flick Chocolate is going to be released in February 2008. Hallelujah! So perhaps an English friendly Thai DVD can’t be too far behind? wink wink nudge nudge. Here is the synopsis once again so you too may get that hankering for a taste of sweet chocolate!
‘Chocolate’ stars newcomer Nicharee “Jeeja” Vismistananda as an autistic girl who learns how to fight both by absorbing her martial arts skills from what she sees on TV and from the Muay thai boxing school next to her home. When she finds a list of debtors in her sick mother’s diary, she decides to go collecting. Her quest leads her to confrontations with criminal gangs and also her father, a member of the Japanese mafia.
And the good news doesn’t stop there. Despite the sad news that his third film with Thai action star Tony Jaa has been canceled Prachya did reveal in a recent interview that he would follow up Chocolate with another action film starring another action heroine! Bring on the chicks!!!

“English friendly Thai DVD?”
There’s really no such thing anymore. And I’m just referring to their releases of their own movies.
