Rogue Pictures Presents THE UNBORN Now Playing

Without an alien, ghost, serial killer or zombie in view, the tag line for AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH is quite bold, but check out the trailer linked below before dismissing it as mere hyperbole.
Davis Guggenheim’s documentary “offers a passionate and inspirational look at one man’s fervent crusade to halt global warming’s deadly progress in its tracks by exposing the myths and misconceptions that surround it,” according to the film’s web site. “That man is former [US] Vice President Al Gore.”
The site also features a Carbon Calculator so you can calculate your personal impact on global warming. I won’t reveal my number (for fear that environmentalists will storm my apartment and turn off my air conditioner), but I encourage you to play around with the calculator a bit. (If you live outside the US, just fill in any state you like—I live in Texas, so I had to be honest about that.) There’s also a fair amount of eye-opening information at the site for supporters, doubters, and the just plain curious.
AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH will be released by Paramount Classics in New York and Los Angeles on May 24 before expanding nationwide. The distributor just announced that it will commit “5% of their domestic theatrical gross…with a minimum guarantee of $500,000 to be donated to a new bipartisan climate effort, Alliance for Climate Protection.” We received an invite to an advance screening so hopefully we’ll be able to post a review in advance of its opening to see if it can possibly live up to its tag line.

Oh stop. Another rot-gut pile of liberal-propaganda horse-shit passed off as “Documentary”. And the retards in Hollywood keep wondering why their box office intake keep getting smaller and smaller each year.
What’s most disgusting about the whole debate is that one of the most egregious offenders when it comes to pollution is.
(Drumroll asshats)
CHINA.
Oh but wait it can’t be their fault.
They’re communist!
Fucking retards. I’m starting to believe Liberals couldn’t think their way out of a wet fucking paper bag.

Maybe because F&S;(and N?)-words spitting Neanderthals stay at home watching Fox News?

Thanks for the info, Peter. Saw the one-sheet for this at the Landmark in town last night and was very intrigued. Looking forward to a review.

The film is press screening in Los Angeles with opportunities to interview Al Gore. I’m thinking about it. Still undecided.

Al Gore was announced for a post-screening Q&A;for the advance screening in Dallas on Friday, but due to a “schedule conflict” he wasn’t there.
BTW, venmax, there is a short segment in the film on Gore’s visit to Beijing.

Sorry to run a little off-topic, but I just had a question for those living in the States.
Does venmax represent a large proportion of American mindsets or is he (I assume it’s a guy) more of an anomolous minority?
His posts really ruin my day and, living in Hong Kong, I don’t really have a way of confirming or disconfirming impressions that are turning me into a closet misanthrope.

Venmax represents the pretty typical mindset of a subset of the american hard-right. Just wait until the next Michael Moore film is far enough along to post about ... the right wingers will pour out in force doing little more than make comments about Moore’s weight ...
