Rogue Pictures Presents THE UNBORN Now Playing

Here’s something I will be keeping an eye on, Nacho Cerdas (Aftermath / Genesis; out on DVD in the USA late August 2005) first full-length feature which began filming two weeks ago in Bulgaria. Looking at the Fangoria piece there’s a whole list of names involved which we will recognise : Karel Roden (Hellboy), Anastasia Hille (The Hole), Richard Stanley (Hardware; script polishing duties), Xavi Gimenez (Cinematographer for ‘The Machinist’). Script is by Nacho Cerda and Karim Hussain.
Have to keep waiting sometime to see any footage though as they say its due late 2006. The smallish budget 3m Euros should still mean this is not an overblown exercise. Contains Doppelganger themes too, so should have a nicely odd storyline to it. Theres a Filmax page which gives a scripted background story if you are interested.

Oooh Richard Stanley script. Why on earth hasn’t he been able to get a feature film off the ground since that Island flick that he was fired from.
Filmax and Fantastic factory is the perfect place for him. If Brian Yuzna can make films there then he should be able to make one.
