Lost
Something interesting here from Fabool ...
Co-produced by Takeshi Kitano’s Office Kitano Atsushi Funahashi’s Big River is a US set road movie with a hugely international cast and crew, including Japanese mega-star Joe Odagiri who apparently works entirely in English. Sounds decently good doing it, too.
Set in the southwestern US - looks like Arizona to these eyes, though it could be New Mexico - the film is about a hitch hiking Japanese man out to see the world, a Pakistani trying to find his missing wife, and the American girl who gives them both a lift on their way to New York. Personally I found the American actress the least convincing of the three in the trailer, but the camera work is absolutely beautiful ...

Just for the record. This film will be screened in the 8th Barcelona Asian Film Festival (April 28-May 7). All the actors performs really well. The counterpart of Odagiri (with smashed clothes in rave punk style) is the popular Kavi Raz (from lots of USA TV series). The photography is just wonderful. See the BAFF website for more info (in english too).

I’ve seen it at PIFF last year and it was really funny. A very good road movie and the actors are really great, especially Kavi Raz.
