Be Kind, Rewind - Gondry sweded Trailer

In what could be construed as a bit on the self indulgent side, that is if it weren’t for the infectiously silly nature and D-I-Y aesthetic of the film, Michel Gondry has made a home-made remake (his term: ‘sweded’) of his own trailer for Be Kind, Rewind. Now considering that in the actual film, Jack Black and Mos Def are making homemade versions of Boyz in the Hood, Robocop and Ghostbusters, this means it is Gondry playing nearly everyone and his home-made versions of their home-made versions in his version of the advertisement for his film. Confused yet? Fine. Watch.
Presented in crappy YouTube, because it seems to add to the aesthetic rather than hinder it.

Gaps. My head already hurts at this point. But if someone does that, you can bet it’ll be Charlie Kaufmann or Spike Jonze and they’ll do it in cardboard shadow-puppets or something with an Aphex Twin soundtrack.
