Oh, glory ... I am a huge, huge fan of Darren Aronofsky and have been not-so-secretly nursing a grudge against Brad Pitt for years, ever since he walked off the set of Aronofsky’s The Fountain at the absolute last second - they were literally two weeks away from shooting - apparently because he didn’t understand the script. So instead of getting the Fountain years ago, we got Brad in Troy and Aronofsky in a career tail spin, apparently unable to get any new projects off the ground. But along came Hugh Jackman, back came the financing money, The Fountain got made and now there’s footage to prove it ...
It’s only a teaser, but it’s a gooooooood teaser. Very different from his earlier work but still very obviously Aronofsky. Go now.

i love that we get to watch this in high-def. also, it’s a true teaser--one that offers us stunning images (apparently parelleling one another across different time periods), yet doesn’t spoil anything in terms of plot. apart from that tripped out screen saver a while back, this is the first new aronofsky in years, and it’s rad. jea!

The trailer doesn’t seem to be working for me. Something about a bad public atom?

I think that means you need to install the latest version of Quicktime, version 7, Kaz.

Am I the only one who got a Kubrick vibe from some of the space imagery? Not that that’s a bad thing, mind you. It looks fantastic.
