I’d say that I hate to say I told you so except, you know, I don’t.  I LOVE to say I told you so, particularly when it comes to this film.  After picking up the jury award for best picture at the 2007 Fantastic Fest, Nacho Vigalondo’s Time Crimes went on to successful appearances at the Sitges Festival in Spain and a little festival you may have heard of called Sundance.  And it’s just played at the Philadelphia International Film Festival where it has picked up the Danger After Dark Audience Award, having been voted the best film within the festival’s lineup of genre pictures.  Nice.

eh. THere’s only one reason why this film won best award at Danger after Dark.... TLA releasing blows and got rid of Travis Crawford and the two new guys who programmed this year’s line up suck and chose a bunch of awful straight to DVD quality shit based soley on synopsis because they know nothing about genre film.

The philly film fest was a f*cking joke this year. F*ck TLA. Time Crimes was ok. One of the few films that’s perfect for a remake, because it’s high concept mediocrity. A film that could have been sooo much more rather than an indie, horror version of The Butterfly Effect and A Sound of Thunder. Primer was signifigantly more interesting.
