Rogue Pictures Presents THE UNBORN Now Playing

New from Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pictures - the same people behind last year’s indie horror hit The Roost - comes Automatons, a giddy looking retro sci-fi horror picture starring the legendary Angus Scrimm. David Tennant et al may be hard at work updating Doctor Who for the current day and age but this looks as though it could have been made in the early days of BBC sci-fi, all grainy black and white and robots made of boxes, bowls and dryer vent tubing. God, yes.

Anything with Scrimm is worth at least a look.

From the people that made The Roost? No Thanks. Roost was by far the worst piece of shit I’ve had to endure in years. The director at the Fantasia Film Fest Q&A;was obviously clueless on how to make a horror film. Just fill it with great scenes stolen from The Evil Dead, copy that feature’s score and you’re good to go. Uwe Boll junior! It’s a failure on every conceivable level.Technical, creative, artistic you name it.
Quit while you’re not ahead. Not even Angus Scrimm will save the followup.

The only thing I’ve seen by Larry Fessenden was the vampire movie, Habit, and that is clearly one of the best modern vamp movies out. I haven’t seen the Roost though, or anything else from James Felix McKenney.

LOL! I apologize for the multiple posts. I had a problem with my browser. Fessenden has made a couple of okay films.
