But then Nina’s boyfriend Martin is cruelly drowned in a lake. Soon after that the killer strikes again ferociously. The village is paralysed with dread. Panic rules among the members of the clique. As expected this movie bombed at the box office when it was released in Austria. I don’t think a single person went to see it.

i was happy to hear about a “genre” movie from austria.
it was never attempted here.
then some critics said that it’s actually good.
possible ? a good austian genre movie ? could it be ?
i went to the cinema and the headshaking began.
well, ok, the director prooved that austrians can make the
same shitty, uninteresting teenie slasher movies.
only good thing: in the ending no sinister killer reveals
the whole intentions of his murders in old guy telltale fashion.
it is silent.
apart from that mediocre. I’m actually very sorry this
movie didn’t turn out better. Would have been a chance for
austrian directors to start quality genre entertainment.
instead they all will continue to try boring, uninspired
pseudo-art movies (barbara albert, ulrich seidl)
