An English Language Trailer For Christian Volckman’s Renaissance

An English language trailer for French sci-fi animation Renaissance has turned up online.  It is the exact same trailer as the second trailer linked here with the exception of the vocal dub.  The English cast is quite good and comparing this version of the trailer to the original French version it looks as though the lip synch may have actually been timed to the English dialogue rather than the French, which is a bit of a surprise ...

    Any word as to when this might be hitting R1?  Or even theatres, dare I hope??  I have wanted to see this from the first post you made about it… such patience I must exhibit!

    Miramax owns it but haven’t announced any plans yet.

    It seems to me that the movie was intended to be in english and the french version is a dub. In the timetable for the upcoming Fantasy Filmfest (http://www.fantasyfilmfest.com) here in germany the movie is marked as ‘eng OV’. The Fantasy Filmfest always shows the movies in their original language version.
