An Animated TV Spot By Olivier Gondry …

Apparently there are rather a lot of talented Gondry’s out there. Michel - the highest profile of the lot - is prepping an animated feature with his son and I’ve just come across an animated TV ad directed by brother - or uncle, depending on perspective - Olivier. Yep, the good genes run in the family.

Indeed. However, if you do want to see some animation by his son, who I believe is named Paul, you, well, you could head over to his page on director-file.com, but it seems to be down at the moment. I remember seeing some linked on there a while back.

according to the site linked above, oliver was the director. he neither conceptualized the spot nor did he animate it. imho the real creative process is in the idea and the execution not the direction of the spot.
