Following on from the recent UK DVD releases of Álex de la Iglesia’s 800 Bullets (800 Balas) and Accion Mutante, now Crimen ferpecto, probably Alex’s most impressive film to date, is getting a DVD release in the UK.

Spanish cinema’s genius of outrageous humor, Álex de la Iglesia (Mutant Action, Day of the Beast, Common Wealth), returns with the hysterical comedy The Perfect Crime. This riotous delight follows Rafael (Guillermo Toledo), the suave playboy and women’s clothing section clerk.
When Rafael’s quest for a promotion goes deadly wrong it puts him in the debt of Lourdes (Monica Cervera), a homely (and that’s being kind) coworker. When Lourdes blackmails Rafael into being her boyfriend, Rafael will go to increasingly desperate lengths to escape her grip.

A very funny film, worth a look. Now when will we get a R1 release of Accion Mutante?

At least the Brits had the good sense to keep the dyslexic title intact. The US R1 dvd dumbed down the title, which is a shame, because it’s a perfect (ha) title.
