Aksel Hennie Is World War Two Resistance Fighter MAX MANUS!

It is the season for Scandinavian WWII resistance films, apparently. Denmark’s Flame and Citron has been a huge hit and next to come out of the gate is Norway’s Max Manus. The film stars Twitch fave Aksel Hennie in the lead as actual resistance fighter Manus is the story of his life. Here’s what the NFI has to say:
The film is based on the true story of the resistance fighter Max Manus, and follows Max from the outbreak of World War II until the summer of peace 1945. After having fought against the Russians during the Winter War in Finland, Max returns to a Norway occupied by the Germans. Very soon he joins the active resistance movement, and becomes one of the most important members of the so-called Oslo Gang, led by Gunnar Sønsteby. Among other activities, they carry out spectacular raids against German ships in Oslo harbour. Maybe the most well-known attack was the sinking of the slave ship Donau.
The first teaser has just arrived and while it is still very much a tease it does show of the scale of the piece along with an impressive attention to period detail. Very nice. You can check out the teaser in the Twitch Player below the break.
