Rogue Pictures Presents THE UNBORN Now Playing

Young Polish director Martin Gauvreau turned a lot of heads - and I mean a LOT of heads - with his debut short film, a trippy little sci-fi number titled Agnieszka 2039 that featured special effecs by Oscar winning production house The Mill. Gauvreau showed a remarkably assured and distinct style with his first film and it won enough fans that it went on to play in nearly eighty international film festivals. Which is rather a lot. Well, Gauvreau’s back.
His latest short is titled Poland Nights and both in style and content it looks very much like a spiritual sister to Agnieszka, if not a direct sequel. Here’s the synopsis:
After a meteorite impact, a small Polish village falls into a parallel dimension. A TV crew goes on to investigate, but little do they know that their reporter just escaped from a mental institute.
Once again Gauvreau blends a nearly verite shooting style seamlessly with physical effects and high end CGI work and it all looks very compelling. And he’s not done there ... Poland Nights was completed just this month and he’s got another - Alicja Wonderland also in post. A trailer for the second is promised in February but there’s not need to wait for Poland Nights ...

Is there any way to see Agnieszka 2039? I loved the trailer I saw and have been trying to see the whole thing ever since.
