Adam Mason Talks MIRROR!

“Wait a second!” the observant among you are thinking, “Adam Mason? Broken / The Devil’s Chair / Blood River Adam Mason? Didn’t he already announce two new films?” Why, yes. Yes he did. There’s the post-apocalyptic flick Luna and the as-yet untitled Angel Heart meets Jacob’s Ladder inbred village film. But, you see, both of these are fairly large projects, projects on a scale that require Hollywood involvement and with the writer’s strike stretching on it’s anybody’s guess when he might actually be allowed to do any work on either of those. And Mason likes to be busy. And so an earlier concept titled Mirror has been brought to the front of the line and financed privately in the UK so the WGA issues are of no concern.
What is it? According to Mason it’s hard to define but it’s the film he initially expected to make after Broken, it’s “dark as hell”, and is set in LA. “It starts as almost a tragic romantic comedy and slowly becomes a disturbing insight into the mind of a serial killer on the streets of Los Angeles. It’s a film about
madness, delusion and sadism.”
From the sounds of things Mirror will get started ASAP, with Mason also doing prep work on a documentary exploring why the USA is home to more serial killers than any other nation, with the other two titles to follow.
