Notorious Japanese director Takashi Ishii returns with Hito Hito, a film that reunites him with regular actor Naoto Takenaka. Ishii is, of course, best known for extreme fusions of sex and violence having sat at the helm of a pair of the Angel Guts films as well as both Flower and Snake pictures. Information on this one is scarce but it’s pretty clear that he’s in his regular stomping grounds here, although he getting at least a little bit meta about it. Rather than simply being his typical thriller driven by sex and violence this one’s about making his typical thriller driven by sex and violence. More than that I cannot say.

Takashi Ishii also directed “Gonin” and “Gonin 2”, both films which I’d recommend if you haven’t seen them.

“hito ga hito wo aisurukoto no doushiyoumonasa” being the full title…
Which sort of translates to, and bear in mind I’m absolutely horrible at translating, “the level of inevitability in a person’s love for another”.
Takenaka Naoto? Man, that guy turns up in everything!

I recommend learning hiragana. It’s only 45 characters and afterwards you can use this:
