I know what you’re thinking right now. You’re thinking a movie called Katie’s Journey with an image of a starry eyed little girl looking off into space will be a lovely little uplifting family picture that will likely involve said little girl befriending something fuzzy. You’re wrong. Dead wrong. Director Samuel Jorgensen may not be giving any clues as to what Katie’s Journey actually is about at this point but it aint that. Nope. Just check the trailer. And turn up the volume.

This looks like one maniacal flick. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it in the festival circuit.

Looks very promising. I love the sound design in the trailer and the whole look. Is this shot on HD or film?

Hey Swarez,
It was shot on super35 thanks to the Panavision emerging filmmaker grant. Robert Kellough did the awesome sound design and Nathanael Vorce shot it.
Oh...and I directed it
cheers

Samuel just let me see the whole thing. Very fucking cool. It’ll be on the fest circuit soon if I have anything to do with it ...

I am the starry eyed little girl’s mom....and this flick is powerful. Sam has the “it” factor. This film is my daughter’s favorite work to date. We are so excited to see the interest!!!

Congrads mom. Hopefully we get to have a look at it soon.
