Just curious why no one talks much in the forums? Twitch seems pretty active, yet I hardly see any new topics.

It’s a valid question.
Part of it is that the comments section of our articles on the main page often suffice, and the forum isn’t really needed.
It doesn’t help that I haven’t contributed much lately in two of our “hottest” topics: the quiz and the best looking DVDs. I’ll try and remedy that a bit.

There were some frequent contributors who moved out of Twitch, and there seems to be some form of “critical mass” involved, as beyond a certain point posts don’t generate enough new posts, and topics don’t turn hot anymore.
The opposite happens in the part of the forum that can only be seen by moderators: as our line-up of writers includes people from across the globe, the forum is our best way of communication, and that part is very busy indeed!

Yeah, I’ve noticed once a topic gets to a certain post point…deadsville.
Usually someone brings up Mr Tangent but Twitch posters are normally [thank god] literate and thoughtful in their first posting.

I’ve been busy with work so I haven’t been on this forum for the best part of 6 months. I’m a member of several other forums but I don’t visit them as often as I like. It’s not only limited to Twitch though - I think part of the issue is that every man and his dog seems to have their own website/blog these days where they discuss films they like.
