Here’s another useful tip. The new Twitch allows you to “subscribe” to entries and forum threads, which will cause you to be notified whenever there is activity on them (when comments are posted on an entry or someone else responds to a topic). This way, you don’t have to check the site continually to see whether or not a entry/topic that you’re interested in has been updated.
To subscribe to an entry, make sure that the “E-mail me whenever someone comments on this entry” box is checked when you add a comment.
To subscribe to a forum topic, make sure that the “Notify me via email when someone posts in this thread” box is checked when creating a new forum topic or responding to an existing one.
As handy as this might be, though, it could be easy to be overwhelmed by all of the notices—or you may lose interest over time. To unsubscribe from entries and topics, click on the “Edit your profile” link at the top of the screen. Then, under “Utilities” in the left menu, click on “View Subscriptions”. This will bring up a list of all of the entries and forum topics that you are currently subscribed to, and gives you the option to unsubscribe from as many of them as you’d like.
Also, when viewing a forum topic that you are subscribed to, you’ll see an “Un-subscribe from this thread” link in the upper right-hand corner. Clicking on this will unsubscribe you from that topic.
