Not a post for everyone, but I know there are some London-based Twitch enthusiasts and think I have found a shop that might be up their street.
‘ÜMİT & Son’ is a great little shop at 35 Lower Clapton Road, Hackney, London, that I stumbled across by accident on Saturday.  It looks a little unpreposessing from the outside but holds a wealth of (especially) kungfu, blaxploitation, Turkish and western DVDs inside - some of the imported stuff I’d never seen available before, all at bargain prices. The owner’s real passion is for Super 8 films, reels of which can also be purchased alongside (I believe) the projectors to play them, but I think the DVD sideline is the main business with interest in Super 8 a little low these days.
All in all, it’s just a funky little place that offers rare and hard-to-find DVDs and VHS videos that you might otherwise never see, run by a guy with an obvious passion for what he does, and a place that well deserves a shout-out.
