It has been out on DVD in the Netherlands for quite a while and showed at the AFFF two years ago. I wrote something about it that was posted on the frontpage then; did a search but couldn’t find it anymore… It’s an interesting movie with a few original ideas. Not a classic or flawless, but worth seeing I think.

Horrible, horrible movie. Everyone here in Sweden is embarassed about it. Don’t waste your money on it. It may look like a cool sci-fi movie but the direction, the special effects and the acting is beyond pathetic. It flopped big time in swedish cinemas, and rightly so. It has got more in common with Uwe Boll than russian sci-fi movies like Daywatch and Nightwatch. I think it shows how far behind Swedish film-making is compared to the rest of scandinavia. Whenever they are trying to do something else than cop movies or dramas they fuck it up miserably. “Dag och natt” (the title directly translates to “Day and night”) is the only interesting swedish film I can recall from the past few years (well, except from “Ondskan”, or “Evil” as I believe it’s called internationally, but I take it that you already know about that one). It’s narrated by Erland Josephson. I suggest you check that one out instead. IMDb link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387151/

ok guys, I finally got to see this film and I am still a little confused… (maybe I had too much to smoke)

***SPOILERS****

I understand DDs past with the girl w/ glasses that got hurt… but I never made the connection from that tragic event to the orange hair girl and evil guy that were fighting over the cube with her glasses in them.  Maybe i wasn’t paying close attention, but what did i miss?

thanks!!
