Petcor,
I work in Leidschendam, and needed some sort of cable for my home cinema set. So I walked into a very small store in the Damlaan and lo and behold…
They had a whole display with those old curved VHS tapes! Gave me a hippie flashback. Shall I check tomorrow if they still have them?
if you have the time please do!!!!
I will send you a PM
And let’s start with a very rare original Vds release of Lucker . This one is the 84 minutes version.
It’s a Belgian Horror film and very collectable because the original copie/ Master is Burned
Hey Dan, good to see you at this forum
I remember that film! rented it at the “cultvidetheek” in Amsterdam once.
Synapse has announced it’s release on DVD a while ago but I don’t think it’s released yet. An interesting article on the history of that movie can be read here: http://www.cinema-nocturna.com/nd_lucker_article.htm
Have you any idea on the exact rarity of my Schizophrenia (Angst) tape? how ripped off was I?
And the same site’s got a forum which contains members who not only have a wealth of information on UK Pre Certs but VHS from across the globe (you could try here Pector about the price of your VHS):
The VHS collecting for me is kind of my third priority at the moment (DVD being first and Mexican Lobby Cards second...) but I enjoy strolling around car boot sales/charity shops on a Saturday morning on the off chance I may find something of interest. I pick up the odd title on eBay but they usual attract the heavyweight bidders and I haven’t got the cash for those sort of prices…
Keep up the posting guys this is an interesting thread.

I don’t know , I guess If I got the currency to Euro good , you paid round € 45,00. I think it’s to much, but if you really want a film you searching for a long time , people paid for it . The release is a scare one, But I got the film twice & sold one on ebay for € 10,65
Now, some more of my collection a bit of Barbarian style films
10,65 damn ah well, it’s only money. And there weren’t any DVD’s back then to throw my money away on
Barbarians!!! I love barbarian movies Of these tapes I only have Deathstalker. I have a newer (and real ugly) release of Thor and a Greek release of the 7 magnificent gladiators. I think I have seen all of them though… and I want all of them!
the Eagle 6 label has produced some of the ugliest VHS covers I have ever seen. I think I have about five tapes from that label and I don’t like the looks of a single one. That Karate Girl isn’t working for me either
EDIT:
this is that Thor video. Bridge released this tape in 2001… don’t know what they were thinking
but I think that this is another film actually: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0200211/
while “Thor de Verschrikkelijke” must be http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086238/
I keep messing titles up…
And I think I haven’t seen that other “Thor” film yet…

O I think this inlay is Ok I’ve seen worse than this one
I tought by myself , let’s post some “Future” films now
You see ; the dollman inlay is just Horrible.
And then the last one I got twice . Under the name Atomic Cyborg from the Belgian VDS release very rare and also the first ex rental I ever buyed & the Uk release under the name Fist of Steal. On the Vestron Video International label Starknight I’m still searching for the Vestron Video release from the Uk at a decend price.
I hope it’s not to much what I post But It’s fun, & for more vestron titles & bigger sizes just go to my blog
I saw the trailer for that at the last “Nacht van de Wansmaak” (meaning “Night of Bad Taste”, a famous happening in the Netherlands and Belgium where they show atrocious movieclips and trailers).

Man, I’ve always wanted to see ANGST. Supposedly Barrel Entertainment (folks who put out the super LAST HOUSE ON DEAD END STREET sp.ed.) have been working on a DVD of it for some time - I can recall print ads announcing the release in back issues of “Videoscope.”
Keep posting those cover scans, everyone! I love ‘70s and ‘80s box art like nobody’s business.
keep em coming it’s indeed a lot of fun!
I looove that Executor cover Never seen it before, but that is one freaky body building punk chick
again I have only a few of the tapes from this bunch. you have an amazing collection!
I saw a Sunrise tape of a movie called ‘Death Ray’ recently on Marktplaats.nl. Could that be the same movie as that Video Screen tape you’ve got there called ‘De Dodende Straal’? in both cases I suspect it’s this movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062035/
the German DVD release is quite good. But if you don’t understand German, the impact of the movie won’t be the same I guess. I think Barrel Entertainment is dead, since they haven’t updated their website or released anything for ages, and it must be hard for a small label of obscure movies to finance everything they had planned…
I saw LaserBlast there! Oi, I had no idea that one was even out on VHS (I have a taped MST3K version of that film). I loves me some Spacehunter (remember seeing it in the theatre in not-so-glorious 3D! Anything with Tim Thomerson (Cherry 2K, Dollman, Trancers, etc.) is always good fun.
I recall going through a Deathstalker/Barbarian/Bad-Renny-fest-Costuming phase somewhere back in the mid-to-late 80s. Good Times.
Abraxus, Viking Massacre, Soul Catcher, The Stuff, Night of the Comet, Battle Beyond the Stars, Warrior of the Lost World, and The Ice Pirates are all faves.

It’s actually Laserblast, see Kurt’s reply. That one is sort of semi-famous, I have the trailer on the “Nacht van de Wansmaak"-DVD’s.

- I know it’s a very rare release from 1983 , I don’t think it ever had a release afterwards (some old tapes had a re release in videostores ) :D Trancers I got also but that tape is on my Vestron Blog

- I tought it was Jan Verheyen who whas in charge of the programing (I never get it why He did not addhis own movies to the program ) It’s finished now, because he could not find any good stuff anymore . But every year on Halloween on Kanaal 2 (belgian, comercial channel) they give a Bad taste marathon with movies
you people want more ? : here some more “future” films
And since Transformers is playing in cinema’s right now, maybe this could be fun to
