Sorry this might be getting off the point a little but i was looking for some good asian posters a while back preferably posters in the films original language and i came across some posters called ‘Chirashis’ (chee - a - she)

There film flyers that are handed out in japanese cinemas when a film is released, and when the film has finished its run in the cinema there thrown out. Japanese film buffs love these items and some of them can go for quite a bit of money, for instance you can pay up to £20 for a Akira flyer which sounds even more expensive when you consider its only 7 inches by 10, but if you want original artwork that looks good and doesn’t take up much room (i have 70 framed in my room) you should check them out. Ebays probably the best place to get them.

I do love all of these dearly and would love to have any one of them taking pride of place here at SNE Towers, however, if there is one movie poster that would be held in higher regard than anyother, then it would have to be this…

Lets just take a moment to appreciate what this poster is. It tells you everything you need to know about this under appreciated piece of cinematic gold. There are our 3 heros that cover all demographics (and a glowing thumb). We have a truck/car type thing that has a HUGE skull on the front, a fat man with an owl, a flying ice cube tray and a gopher with a nipple on its head.

Now, who WOULDN’T want to see a film with all that?

“Hustler Squad”. Was that released on DVD as “Virgins from Hell”?

Not as far as I’m aware, however, it did get a UK release under the title of The Dirty Half Dozen.

See what they did there. Very clever.

Researching this a bit, I see it is indeed not “Perawan Disarang Sindikat” (aka “Virgins from Hell") but DAMN those posters look similar!

Indeed!
And an excellent edition it is.

The second disc contains, amongst other things, a solid documentary about Indonesian genre cinema, and many, many trailers for these films. To be honest I bought this for the second disc, I love trailer collections and this one is huge.
