The NY Times reports this morning that Tomas Alfredson’s film Let the Right One In won the $25,000 Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival.  It’s an extraordinary film, which was very positively reviewed by Todd back in February.  I caught it here at the festival, and was very impressed.

Amen! Excellent movie, can’t wait for a decent DVD!

(and incidentally it was the first time I saw a movie earlier than Todd cheese  )

I’ve got my tickets going to see it next week at the Seattle International Film Fest. Can’t wait, I was so sure I was never going to see the movie I ordered the book from amazon. It was really good, I don’t know why they clump it in with Anne Rice and changed the title. Amazing book, I’m so excited about seeing the movie!

Me, too.  Didn’t Todd report that an American distributor had picked up the rights?

It will be shown in cinemas in Sweden in October, so I will definetely go see it then. If you haven’t seen them already, you should try to get a copy of Tomas Alfredson’s previous masterpieces Four Shades of Brown and the mini series “En liten film”.
