I ordered a DVD off of Amazon and got it in the mail. The first disc was out of its holder and covered in scratches and scuffs from bouncing around. I looked in the case and saw that the holder for the disc was broken a bit (you know how the little circle holder has 4 sections that click the disc in? one of those 4 little pieces was missing). I thought it must have broken off in shipping. I e-mail Amazon.com and they were very nice about it. They sent me a second copy and I didn’t even have to return the first.

So a few days ago I get my second copy in the mail and guess what? The first disc is out of its place, covered in scratch marks and has the exact same piece missing from it. Luckily this one wasn’t as scratched but it still doesn’t play perfectly (the other one couldn’t play at all after some time into the movie because of how bad the damage was).

This is the site that made me discover this movie and the awesome Katsuhito Ishii so this is the only real place I can think of where other people may have bought the movie too. Did anyone encounter this same problem?

I ordered from DVDPlanet and my discs were firmly on their hubs, Amazon must have gotten an unlucky batch.
