It happened again this morning with my last entry in the “VHS review corner”.
I drafted the post, did spell check and corrected two words, saved my changes and the draft still looked good but when I posted it, it turned out that in all the hyperlinks to my images “p.cornelissen2” had been chopped down to “p.corn”. I had to go back into the post and manually correct this. I am not completely sure if the mangling up of the image links happened after the spell check (seems the most logical) or during the actual posting. The message did look good but I didn’t check the complete links in detail (last time it was the jpg filenames that got butchered). It seems to be a systematical bug (and related to the spell check… but I nearly always do a spell check so again, not sure about that grin

I just did a quick run-through with IE7, and I couldn’t replicate the error.

I just want to see if this is the correct sequence that you did (this is what I did)…

1) Finish typing up your post
2) Click on the “Check Spelling” link.  This will highlight all potentially misspelled words with red underlining
3) Click only on those words that are actually misppelled, and select the correctly spelled word.  So, for example, I didn’t click on “p.cornelissen2”, since that’s not actually misspelled.
4) When done, I click on the “Save Changes” link.  This updates the textarea with the new version of my post, with the correct spellings that I selected.
5) Click on the “Submit Post” button.

Is this similar to what you did?

That is exactly it (and it happened three or for times now that the image links got messed up somehow)
