Hello everyone,

Now that we’ve moved to a new forum please do not think the old one is lost. It’s still there and can be browsed at your leisure, you just can’t add any new comments to it.

Here it is:

Old forum, same topic

We continue here as usual. Please note that I plan to re-post all the photos people submitted in the previous forum anyway (only fair, considering the effort you all put in in the past), but that might have to wait ehm… until I’ve figured out how to do this.

Has anyone seen the 2-disc region 2 DVD of Jaume Balaguero & Paco Plaza’s [Rec]?

Are the deleted scenes good?

I am considering getting the single disc edition (region 2/PAL) but I want to know if I should hold out for a US release which, hopefully, will include all the features (with subtitles of course!) that are included on the 2-disc region 2 edition.

Of course, I could be waiting a while.

They are going to wait until the US remake (QUARANTINE) comes out in OCTOBER (!) before they release [REC] stateside and even THEN we might have to wait for the QUARANTINE DVDate before we get a US DVD of [REC].

And even then the US disc of [REC] might have practically NO special features and then I’ll be kicking myself for (once again) being fooled by US distribution companies / studios that like to screw with American genre fans (as so many of them do…).

Anyhow, any advice as to how to proceed would be greatly appreciated…

From what I’ve read [REC] is something one should NOT wait for.
And I LOVED Plaza’s ROMASANTA and his CHRISTMAS TALE segment of SIX FILMS TO KEEP YOU AWAKE and I loved Jaume Balaguero’s TO LET segment of SIX FILMS and his flick THE FRAGILE (yeah, I liked it! Whatever…)

hey guys, i was wondering what is the most hilarious movie ever?? one of the most hilarious movies for me is Postal. Has anyone seen it?? Its wickedly crazy!! It was my first time watchin this movie since I got the movie on DVD when it came out 8/26, but I checked out the reviews on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Postal-UnRated-Erick-Avari/dp/B0019BI12I/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1216752192&sr=8-1
and the people were sayin that it was pretty good and since I watched the trailers on the imeem.com/postalthemovie page and it looked good, i thought why not get it. i mean some people don’t like this type of humor but it didn’t really bother me. but what did you guys think of this movie? hit or bust? if you don’t like it, what do you guys think is the most hilarious movie ever?

I must admit, I’ve always known by word of mouth that Jonnie To is some kind of genius behind the camera, but I must confess that I have only seen one of his movies: Exile. I know, I know...I should have seen all of his movies by now since I love HK cinema.

What I want to know is...where is the best place to start with To, or should I go ahead and order every movie he’s made? Every time I see his name mentioned on Twitch he’s proclaimed as a God, and dammit I wanna experience the goodness!!

One of my long time favourite films, Carl T. Dreyer’s “Vampyr”, is being released on both Criterion and Eureka. Well, that should be a good thing. The problem is which one to pick? I have seen a few criterion and i own some eureka, and the quality of the films has always been awesome. At the moment, i am considering getting both. Which one do you think is the one to get? For reference:

Perhaps Todd would be best suited to answer this one.

Is YA still doing their customs-free shipments to Canada?

I haven’t ordered from them for a couple of months and with their website re-design, I was thinking they might have changed that.

Let me know.
