Every month the JCCC (Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre) will hold a movie night (with English subtitles). This month’s movie is “Hana Yorimo Nao” from director Koreeda Hirokazu (Nobody Knows). This film stars Okada Junichi, Miyazawa Rie and Asano Tadanobu.

Since I’m covering Asian TV news, I decided to post the results up. Nominations for different categories were up for awhile, allowing people to vote online. For each category there were about 20 nominations each. The results have just come out today. Congratulations to all winners!
The 43rd Golden Horse Awards Nominations were announced last Monday. The number of films that were submitted this year is 82, however some were withdrawn. The winners will be announced on November 25th, 2006. “Perhaps Love” is currently leading with 12 nominations.
