What's the frightening thing about new UK scifi project Slingers? It aint the acting.  Nope, with Sean Pertwee in the lead that's dead solid.  And it isn't the effects, those look great.  Not the writing or concept, either, both of which are very strong and put a fresh spin on things.  No, the frightening thing is that this is just a sizzle reel for a show that has not even made it to the pilot stage, yet. Which means, first, that the finished product is going to look even better and, second, that this is all dependent on the people controlling the check book being clever enough to allow it to become a finished product.

Dear BBC, Channel 4, and anyone else over there with the power and money to make this happen:  Please?
