Winner of the Jury Award for Best Picture at Fantastic Fest 2009. Winner of the Jury Award for Best Actor at Fantastic Fest 2009. The third film from the creative team behind breakout South American martial arts films Kiltro and Mirage Man. The latest proof that leading man Marko Zaror does, indeed, kick ass. No wires. No CGI. Here's an excerpt from Andrew Mack's review:
Completing contracts with ruthless efficiency Mandrill is always on the lookout for the man who killed his parents when he was a child. That lousy cgi at the end killed the mood a bit.
I will see it for sure. Good.
The trailer was a tad underwhelming, but the tiny burst of acrobatic action and the cred earned by the star and director with MIRAGE MAN make it for me a must watch.
I saw this movie at Fantastic Fest and it was so damn good! Can't wait to see it again!
I saw Mandrill at Fantastic Fest too and I agree with bonyebrynn that it was damn good. I definitely want to see it again! I'm a big fan of Kiltro and Mirageman as well.
