Love trailer impresses

Browsing through the trailer page over at apple.com I came across a trailer for a film I've never heard of but apparently has been in the works for over four years. The film is simply called Love and was commissioned by the band Angels & Airwaves. Now the band is also one I've never heard of but when I read who were in it I understood why, the band is made up of former members of Blink 182 and The Offspring and others, bands I severely dislike personally so it's not surprising that I wouldn't know what these guys are up to.
Originally the film was to be a documentary about their album "We Don't Need To Whisper" but later grew to the beast it seems to be today and is to be released on Valentines day next year.

I'm not sure if the film is a straight narrative or a "stream of consciousness" of sorts to compliment the giant sounding tunes of the band but the official synopsis says: After losing contact with Earth, Astronaut Lee Miller becomes stranded in orbit alone aboard the International Space Station. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, Lee battles to maintain his sanity - and simply stay alive. His world is a claustrophobic and lonely existence, until he makes a strange discovery aboard the ship. Driven by the powerful music of Angels & Airwaves, Love explores the fundamental human need for connection and the limitless power of hope... A high-impact visual adventure, that resonates a common truth, that everyone has a story to tell and something even greater to leave behind.

The film is directed by William Eubank, a commercial director and cinematographer and one thing is for certain, it looks amazing but we will have to see if it's any good.
The trailer is embedded below but I recommend that you take a look at it in HD over at apple.com
