Recently, new editors have been put on the job to re-cut the film. Out is THE FOG (2005) and CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK editor Dennis Virkler, and in are Mark Goldblatt and Walter Murch. Goldblatt has cut THE HOWLING (yes!) HALLOWEEN 2 (the original, not the Rob Zombie abomination) and Murch has cut APOCALYPSE NOW and THE TALENTED MR. RIPLEY. So, while it might send up a red flag that the film is being re-tooled before it's February 10'th release date, the guys brought on to do the job have credentials that speak for themselves. I'm taking this as good news.

As an aside, next up for director Johnston is THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA.
