AFM 09: Following Up The KILL SPEED Smear Campaign.

You can't miss it if you're here at the American Film Market.  Mass emails, sign-waving picketers, and rolling sign trucks claiming that action picture Kill Speed is stolen goods and any purchase or sale of the film a violation of copyright.  When we wrote about this November 3rd we commented on how it appeared to be nothing but a flimsily masked smear campaign.

And now we know who's behind it:  Hello, Dave Riggs - twice convicted fraud artist, fired as the CEO of Afterburner Films on August 8th, 2007 for financial mismanagement and embezzlement of Afterburner funds with the firing notice clearly stating that Riggs is not entitled to any claim on any Afterburner Films property.  Property which, incidentally, includes Kill Speed.  Someone didn't take the firing well, I think.

Talk about creating product-recognition for your film!

With enemies like these, who needs friends? Or a marketing department?

As mentioned last night....the truth comes out! This guy parading around Hollywood with his Hitler mustache and Freddy Mercury pants fooling people into investing with him. They will love him (and those pants) in LA lock-up soon.

The justice this thief Riggs deserves to get is being run over by his own sign truck....I only pray somebody gets it on film!

Go KILL SPEED!

Nice job Todd! Thanks for printing the truth about Dave Riggs before he cons someone else out of millions of dollars. Props to you!

Wow, how cut-throat indeed. You have to wonder as to all the details in something this catastrophic. Jeez loweez.

Wow, way to expose this con man! Apparently the National media is exposing this convicted felon as well. Check out these sites:

Hopefully his days of conning and endangering innocent people are numbered...like the one he wore across his chest in the Hong Kong Hoosegow and Leavenworth!
